The European Council has fully suspended the Visa Facilitation Agreement between the European Union and the Russian Federation as of 12 September 2022.

Please note the following changes applicable to Schengen visa applications lodged by Russian nationals:

• The visa fee for Russian nationals is €90; children aged 6 to 12 years pay €45.
• The processing time for Schengen visa applications is, in most cases, 45 days.
• Multiple-entry visas with a long period of validity are only issued in exceptional cases.
• All visa applications are rigorously examined with regard to the requirements of the Schengen Visa Code.

Russian nationals holding a valid Schengen visa may enter Germany, provided they meet the entry conditions stipulated in the Schengen Borders Code.

Please note that the German Embassy in Baku is only competent for visa applications from individuals who have their place of residence or habitual abode in Azerbaijan.
